President , one of the world's favorite cheese brands, was started to be produced in 1933 in Laval, France by André Besnier. With the 85 years expertise, President is sold in over 160 countries and produced in more than 100 countries, all around the world.
HISTORY OF PRESIDENT
BIRTH OF PRESIDENT IN LAVAL
André Besnier, founder of the President, opened a small shop in Laval, France on October 19, 1933. He started the production with 34 liters of milk and used it to produce 17 Camembert cheeses. Thus, the world got the chance to meet Camembert cheese.
TRANSITION TO MODERN FACTORY
In 1947, he moved to a more "modern" production facility on Moulin Street, where he began producing Camembert cheese and butter in mass production. He was specialized in high quality butter production swiftly.
PRESIDENT GROWS
In 1950, he started to collect 10 thousand liter milk per day with his 30 workers.
SECOND GENERATION AT WORK
In 1955, he died suddenly and succeeded by his 27-year-old son. Besides being a very good cheese producer, he had an extraordinary ability in business and product communication.
REGISTRATION OF THE BRAND
In January 1968, the President brand was officially registered and started to take its place as a brand on the packaging .
