COOKING TIME: 20 Minute
MATERIALS
1 package of President Kashar Cheese (250 g)
500 g lean double ground beef
1 teaspoon of mustard
1 teaspoon (Worchester sauce - a type of ready vegetable sauce)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of olive oil
TO GRILL THE MEATBALLS
1 teacupful of flour
1 teacupful of sunflower seed oil
FOR TOMATO SAUCE
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of butter
1 small onion (extremely finely chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (extremely finely chopped)
4 tomatoes (peeled and blended)
1 dessertspoon of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of vinegar
salt and freshly ground black pepper
PREPARATION
Add salt, pepper, mustard, olive oil, worchester sauce into the ground beef and gently knead with hands. Shape into 20 equal walnut-size balls. Cut President Cheddar into cubes about 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm in size. Poke a hole with your index finger into the center of each ball. Place President Cheddar Cheese cubes inside. Carefully close and roll them smoothly by using the palm of your hand.
Cover the meatballs with flour and remove the excess flour. Pour sunflower oil in the pan and keep the meatballs moving in the pan so that they are cooked evenly.
To prepare tomato sauce, pour the olive oil and butter in the pan. Add the onion and garlic. When its slightly colored, add the tomato. Season with sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for about 8-10 minutes.
You can either serve the meatballs by boiling them in tomato sauce or by pouring tomato sauce over the meatballs after serving.
DELICACY SUGGESTION
Instead of preparing the meatballs with tomato sauce, you can serve them with breading by frying them.
